The Minister of Information and Communications Technology, Dr Shadric Namalomba, visited Embangweni Secondary School for the Deaf in Mzimba District and Lojwa Community Day Secondary School in Kasungu, reaffirming the Government’s commitment to inclusive education.
Through the Universal Service Fund (USF), under the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA), learners at both schools are benefiting from improved access to digital learning resources through the Connect-A-School and People with Disabilities (PWD) projects, which have provided desktop computers to support teaching and learning.
At Embangweni Secondary School for the Deaf, the initiative is helping ensure that learners with hearing impairments are included in Malawi’s digital transformation, with greater opportunities to access educational resources, develop digital skills, and participate meaningfully in the digital economy.
