The Universal Service Fund (USF) is a division of the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA), established under the Communications Act (Cap. 68:01). The Fund is mandated to promote universal access to affordable communications services by extending telecommunications, broadcasting, and postal services to rural, underserved, and unserved communities across Malawi. Through its initiatives, the USF works to ensure that digital services are accessible to all Malawians, helping to bridge the digital divide and foster inclusive socio-economic development.
